Delusional, owner and also a solo artist of the group’s homegrown record label Anti-Authority Records, had already established a name for himself in the central Florida music scene. Through putting an album out and performing at numerous concerts and showcases, Delusional began to learn the ropes of the music industry. He came to an agreement with recording industry connoisseur Jamaica Johnson, CEO of Interlude Entertainment who helped sell over 97 million records including the likes of Lil’ Kim and Kid Rock. As a marketing director at Atlantic Records, Jamaica bestowed his knowledge onto Delusional to help put out the rising phenomenon only to be known as the Durty White Boyz.
DWB has performed at MTV/Maxim Spring Break 2006 with Lil Flip and performed with many top-of-the-line artists such as Three Six Mafia, Khia, Mike Jones, Plies, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Too $hort, Digital Underground, ICP, Tommy Lee, Field Mobb, DJ AM, Trina, and 2 Live Crew. DWB has been going strong since they began in early 2005 and have since landed a deal with 75 Records/Universal with a mixtape to be distributed by them in late 2007 and the official album coming in 2008.
